What is Preschool Playhouse?

Preschool Playhouse is an indoor play place in the basement of the owner, Jennie Nodwell, house for children ages 0 to 5 to play with and spend time with a caring parent/adult/caregiver. It provides the security of a safe, neutral place while providing activities that encourage creativity and imagination. You can engage in quiet activities like reading, puzzles, Playdoh or Kinetic Sand, or more active activities like cooking, construction, beauty salon, or cars. Whatever kind of activity you do, connection between the child and adult are encouraged. We now offer the ability to schedule playdates and birthday parties!

Why open up my basement?

There are few activities to do in Fremont for families of young children who have a parent that stays home with them or has a babysitter/nanny with them during the week. The activities that are around are either limited in activity or do not open until later in the morning (excluding outside playgrounds and splash pads). I have 4 children 5 years of age and under and they wake up early. So I am providing my basement as a place to play for children and their families who need a place to play or want to get out of the house that opens up early (8:30am!). It is open up for open play on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 8:30am to 11am and 12 pm to 3:30pm. You can schedule a playdate/private play Monday, Wednesday, or Fridays or a birthday party on Friday and Saturdays.

For the time being to meet a community need, Preschool Playhouse will be in our basement. As the need exceeds the space, we will look into moving into a larger space or have multiple basements throughout the town to play in.
